If you are a programmer or a webmaster, then you could find "MySQL-Front" really useful. The program is an excellent MYSQL GUI client which allows you to control your MYSQL databases whether they are hosted locally or remotely.
The program combines all the features that you need to control your MYSQL account. You can add/remove databases and build complex database schemes and table structures, arrange fields and set field types and default values. You can execute advanced SQL queries and different SQL commands by typing them manually. SQL queries can be built graphically by clicking the "sorting" arrows or choosing the preferred filter template by right-clicking on any field.
The program allows you to copy any table along with its structure and data to a new table in the same database, or rename any table. In addition, the program allows you to export any database or table to an external file, or to another database on the same host or another one.
You can import data from Microsoft Access, Excel or dBase files, and you can choose which tables and fields to import. Moreover, you can export your data as HTML, plain text, CSV or XML.
The program's version 2.5 is different from the current version 5.1 in that the former is freeware while the latter is shareware. In addition, the version 2.5 was more stable and had fewer bugs, but it contained fewer features than the newer versions of this fantastic program. more

- .SQL exported data is not 100% compatible with phpMyAdmin. MySQL-Front exports ## comments, while hpMyAdmin expects -- comments,
so you will get warnings, when trying to import MySQL-Front exported data into phpMyAdmin.
- When exporting to .SQL format, latin characters (accented i,e,o,u) in my database were converted to question marks ?.
This shouldn't happen. I think this is a bug.
Pros: Easy to use.
Cons: Not a offline Database editor. You can't import .sql file, edit the database, and then export .sql file, in an offline mode.
I use Nils (R.I.P. mny friend) mysql-front for about 15 years and still love it!
